Providing qualitative education for the learners require collaborative efforts by all stakeholders in the society. The fact is that parents and government can't appropriate the resources needed for the upbringing of the learners alone.

As educator, we must realize this fact and partner with individuals, Philanthropist, Old Student Association , Non-governmental Organization to drive the needed resources for the school and learners.

These learners need support in all ramifications ranging from psychological , emotional , financial and material. If any of these support is lacking, it will affect the child in his or her academic pursuit.

Head of School must also realize this and channel a medium to discuss it with class teachers with a view to identifying learners that need such support and how it can be sorted out.

Having realized this fact as a global citizen and educator, I take solace in utilizing opportunity to benefit my learners. I am thrilled that I joined a webinar organized for educators by a non -governmental organization called Bunmi Akinola Foundation ( BAF) and I was actively engaged as usual. Without actually knowing I was been monitored for my active participation.

At the end of the call, I was announced as the most engaging educator and for that, 5 school bags and a pack of medium size chivita was given to my learners. I was extremely happy.

As an advocate of collaboration, I discussed the issue with my head of school and other colleagues that share in the vision. I was able to raise the amount requested to waybill the items from Lagos to Abeokuta, Ogun State.

To ensure that other colleagues key into this vision to join the foundation, I told them to nominate two learners in their classes to benefit from the two items using social, financial and commitment criteria.

The learners were happy to actually benefits from this pholantripica gesture of BAF . It is our quest that we should continue to support these great leaders of tomorrow no matter how small because education for all is definitely the responsibility of all .
