Uniting 2.6million students across the world
Koen Timmers established the Climate Action Project: a 6-week project allowing teachers and students ages 3-21 to collaborate on environmental topics. It is the largest initiative globally aiming to bring climate education in schools. We already reach 2.7 million students and teachers across 140 countries but need your help scaling up. Every year we reach ten times the audience and create more impact.
The project is supported by HH Dalai Lama, Jane Goodall, WWF, NASA, UN Environment Programme and Ministries of Education across 16 countries.
Impact
We want to reach and unite as many teachers and students globally making sure they:
· can learn in an authentic, engaging way making sure they are offered accurate facts, aiming them to disseminate findings, solutions and actions
· students come up with solutions which we try to make reality
· We want our participants to plant trees. For this, we launched our #plantED initiative http://plant-ed.net.
We want to work with governments making sure we achieve:
· Climate and Environmental Literacy
· a national ban of single use plastic bags, straws, etc.
You can help to grow this initiative and be part of this movement, by the people, for the people.
