Olivier Oullier, PhD, is designing and implementing multi-scale behavior and system change strategies for public and private institutions thanks to his experience in scientific research, policy-making and consulting. Building on cutting edge laboratory and field research in psychology, behavioral economics, complex systems and decision neuroscience, he has developed new operational methods to measure the gap between what people say/think they do and what they do in their daily activities and environments, improve engagement and facilitate the adoption of behaviors that improve people’s health and well being at the individual and collective levels in domains including education, health and the law.

He has taught, consulted or given keynotes in more than 30 countries and is currently Professor of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at Aix-Marseille University.  He is also an invited professor at the Universities of Oxford and Geneva’s executive education programs. Olivier has authored more than 100 publications in top scientific journals and mainstream medias including the New York Times and Nature.

Between 2009 and 2012, Olivier was an adviser to the Center for Strategic Analysis of the French Prime Minister where he was in charge on the Neuroscience and Public Policy Program. This world-premiere used behavioral and brain insights to improve policy-making (education, gender stereotype in schools and workplaces, finance, crisis management, public health, sustainable consumption and law).

In 2011, the World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader. He became the vice-chair of this institution’s Global Agenda Council on Neuroscience and Behavior, the founding of the Global Shapers hub in Marseille. He sits on several boards of NGOs and companies and is the chairman of Global Dignity for France. Prof. Oullier studied psychology, neuroscience, economics and complex systems at the Universities of the Mediterranean, Cincinnati, Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales.
