Jane McAdam is Scientia Professor of Law and Director of the Andrew & Renata Kaldor Centre for International Refugee Law at the University of New South Wales, Australia. She holds an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship, and is a non-resident Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution in Washington DC and a Research Associate at the University of Oxford’s Refugee Studies Centre.
Professor McAdam publishes widely in international refugee law and forced migration, with a particular focus on climate change and mobility. She serves on a number of international committees, including as Co-Rapporteur of the International Law Association’s International Committee on International Law and Sea-Level Rise, and as a member of the Consultative Committee of the Nansen Initiative on Disaster-Induced Cross-Border Displacement.
She is joint Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Refugee Law. She was appointed as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2013.
