Maria Rosella Manni

Maria Rosella Manni is currently a member of the Board of Past Presidents at TESOL Italy (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages in Italy), a non-profit Italian association founded in 1975 and an affiliate of TESOL International Association based in Virginia, USA. TESOL Italy is run by teachers and for teachers. Its mission is to develop the expertise of those involved in teaching English to speakers of other languages and to foster professional growth and active participation in language teaching.  Before becoming TESOL Italy President in 2018, she served many years on the Executive Committee, where she is still working. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the TESOL Italy’s Journal “ New Perspectives: a Journal of TESOL Italy”, which is issued twice a year.

She works as a teacher’s trainer for ICT and e-teacher in online CLIL courses. Her main areas of interest are: intercultural communication, public speaking, EFL, CALL

She taught English language and literature and ESL in Cambridge IGCSE courses at E.Q.Visconti high school in Rome. She was the teachers’ coordinator and CIE Exams Officer for IGCSE exams.  Maria Rosella held the official title of member of the PNSD Team, meaning that, along with the team, she guided her school’s implementation of the Government National Digital Plan.

In 2013 she won the European Language Label with the project  "Intercultural Telecollaboration”. The project aimed to promote the motivation for learning a foreign language, through synchronous and asynchronous cooperation, between a group of Italian students in Rome and a group of American students in Tucson, Arizona.
