Founder and CEO, Teach a Man to Fish
Nik Kafka is the founder and CEO of Teach A Man To Fish. Starting out in finance, an interest in social change led him to Paraguay where he worked with Fundacion Paraguaya on their pioneering self-sufficient school.
This model aims not only to teach the poor how to become rural entrepreneurs, but to do so as a self-financing social enterprise. Having helped transform this school into a replicable model he returned to the UK to found Teach A Man To Fish. Over 100,000 young people have benefited directly from Teach A Man To Fish programs across Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The Teach A Man To Fish Members Network now numbers over 5,000 education institutions and experts in more than 135 countries interested in bringing enterprise into education. Honoured as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, he was more recently named as one Devex’s 40 Under 40 International Development Leaders in London.
