I am a teacher. My father, Zunilda, is a teacher who taught me to educate with patience and commitment, and my father, Daniel, is a mechanic who showed me that doing a good job also shapes character. Between school and the workshop, I learned that educating is not just about teaching content, but about guiding people.
My vocation was born early, marked by Adriana Mosqueda, my first and second grade teacher, who instilled in me the certainty that teaching is also caring.
Today I work at Don Bosco school and Adoratrices school, places where education is experienced as a community and where I confirmed that no one educates alone.
I am deeply moved by the Salesian charism, that way of teaching through closeness and connection, which Don Bosco summarized with a simple and profound phrase: “Educating is a matter of the heart.”
I wrote this book from the classroom, from doubt, from weariness, and from hope.
Not because I have all the answers, but because I keep asking myself questions.
And because I still believe that education is worthwhile.
