Roots of the Future: Students from Radoviš Plant Hope for a Greener Tomorrow
In the heart of Radoviš, where youth dreams and the future is shaped through small but meaningful steps, a group of students, guided by their teacher Mitko Ristov, set out on a path of responsibility and love for nature. In an initiative that goes far beyond an ordinary lesson, they planted emerald thuja trees in old roof tiles — a symbolic yet powerful act of dedication to our planet.
These young eco-heroes don't just dream of a better world — they are building it. Each thuja they planted carries a message: “We care. We are here. We take action.” Their goal is clear: once the trees grow, they will be transplanted into areas suffering from erosion and a lack of greenery, bringing life and balance back to places where nature has been forgotten.
“We don't need a grand gesture to make a difference — all it takes is heart, knowledge, and will,” says teacher Ristov. He and his students are proving that ecological awareness is not just something you learn — it's something you live.
From old tiles, new hope has sprouted. From small saplings, great visions grow. Because when the youth plant trees, they are truly planting the roots of a healthier, stronger, and greener future.
