Teacher Tales |
As the academic year loomed ahead, our school faced a daunting challenge: a shortage of teachers. Undeterred, I stepped into my role as a facilitator for a month-long professional development (PD) session. My mission? To equip my colleagues with the latest insights in education
Our team was a tapestry of diversity, representing the Philippines, Nigeria, Gambia, Tunisia, and Libya. This rich blend became our secret weapon—a catalyst for successful collaboration and deep cultural understanding.
On that pivotal day, July 30, the PD session kicked off with a series of invigorating activities. We stoked the flames of motivation, helping each educator recognize their untapped potential. Next, we delved into the new lesson plan format, weaving in ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) competencies and seamlessly integrating the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their subjects.
As the days unfolded, our collective passion ignited, and we forged a path toward excellence. Together, we would shape not just our classrooms, but the future itself.
