Nominations for the 2024 Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards presented by Schools Plus are now open until 8 April.

Nominate a life-changing teacher or apply yourself!

Schools Plus with the support of some of Australia’s leading philanthropists chaired by David Gonski AC and in partnership with Commonwealth Bank, celebrates inspirational teachers and school leaders who are making a transformative impact on children and young people across Australia.

Schools Plus and the Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards are proud to partner with the Varkey Foundation which presents the Global Teacher Prize and Global Student Prize.

Teaching Fellowships

Twelve outstanding teachers or school leaders receive a prestigious $40,000 Teaching Fellowship, including $25,000 for their school and participation in a unique 12-month professional learning program. 

Early Career Teaching Scholarships

Ten early career teachers, with 5 years or less in the profession, will also be selected for a $10,000 scholarship supported by Salesforce, including funds for professional development and participation in an exclusive leadership and mentoring program.

Applications and Nominations close 8 April.  The awards event will take place at Australian Parliament House, Canberra, on 9 September.
