Funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the EWB Network Project supports teachers through professional development programmes, webinars, mentoring initiatives and conferences aligned with national education priorities and SDG4. With a growing community of more than 5,000 members, the network’s National Awards celebrate educators who bring innovation and technology into their classrooms while actively contributing to the wider ELT community.
The most recent winners were recognised during the 2025 EWB National Conference, the organisation’s flagship annual gathering. Awards were presented in three categories: EWB Innovative Teacher of the Year, EWB Inspirational Teacher, and Most Active EWB Thursday Webinar Participant. Since 2021, EWB has honoured dozens of educators who continue to support the network by mentoring peers, leading professional learning opportunities and sharing expertise across Tajikistan. As applications grow each year, the awards highlight the increasing commitment of teachers to continuous learning and collaboration.
Beyond recognition, the awards reflect a broader commitment to strengthening the teaching profession. In a new development, the Ministry of Education and Science now provides health resort certificates to Innovative and Inspirational Teacher award recipients, acknowledging the importance of teacher wellbeing alongside professional excellence. Through initiatives like the National Awards, EWB continues to celebrate and empower teachers across Tajikistan who are learning, leading and inspiring the next generation.
