Rouble Nagi - Post Award Journey

Since receiving the Global Teacher Prize 2026, my work has been driven by one clear intention: to ensure that the recognition translates into deeper, wider, and more sustainable educational impact for children and communities who need it most.

Digital Learning Centres in Rural Kashmir
Over the past months, we have successfully established digital learning centres across rural villages in Kashmir, including regions located close to the Line of Control—areas where children have grown up with limited exposure to modern education systems, digital tools, or AI-based learning.

These centres now host fully functional digital classrooms, equipped with smart learning tools and trained facilitators. Over 900 children have already enrolled, many of whom are experiencing structured education, digital literacy, and creative learning for the first time.

This achievement directly fulfils the goal I had set for myself post-award: to bring digital classrooms to rural villages where they were once unimaginable.

Expanding Learning Access in Urban India
Alongside our work in Kashmir, we have also:
• Opened new learning and skill centres in Mumbai’s slum communities, ensuring children in high-density, underserved neighbourhoods have access to art, education, and digital learning.
• Supported several Municipal schools in Mumbai, where teachers often struggle with overwhelming class sizes and limited resources. Our team now conducts regular sessions, teacher support workshops, and creative learning modules.
• Launched a new art centre in the Nepeansea Road slum cluster, where the response has been extraordinary — an overwhelming number of children have signed up for creative classes, demonstrating how deeply art resonates even in the most challenging environments.

Student Success Stories
One of the most inspiring moments this year has been watching a student from our Thane centre prepare for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) — a powerful reminder that access, encouragement, and consistent mentorship can transform life trajectories.

Speaking, Teaching, and Inspiring
Post-award, I have also taken on a more active role in public speaking and inspiring educators, addressing:
• Schools
• Colleges
• Universities
• Teacher training platforms
• And global stages such as TEDx
These engagements allow me to share learnings from the field, advocate for inclusive education, and inspire both students and teachers to believe in the power of creativity, dignity, and community-driven change.

A Message to the Global Teacher Prize Community
The award was not a culmination — it was a catalyst. It amplified our voice, expanded our reach, and strengthened our resolve. The work continues every day, in every classroom, in every village, in every slum, and in every young mind discovering its potential.
I look forward to contributing regularly to this revived community newsletter — sharing stories from the field, classroom wins, and the #TeachersMatter moments that remind us why we do what we do.
