From Brick Kilns to Classrooms: Transforming Lives Through Education in Rural Pakistan

Students, School & Community Working Together to Break the Cycle of Poverty

Community awareness session

At Central Model School Khanewal, Pakistan, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background, religion, or economic status.

During visits to local brick kiln communities, we witnessed children trapped in child labour, poverty, and educational exclusion. Many families believed education was beyond their reach because survival was their daily priority.

Instead of accepting this reality, our school decided to take action.

We visited families, listened to their concerns, held community meetings, and encouraged parents to believe that education could transform the future of their children.

Working together with our school management, teachers, and local community members, we established a new learning campus in a safe and healthy environment. We rented a building, collected furniture and learning materials, and welcomed children from an underserved Christian brick kiln community into school.

Today, these children are learning, playing, and dreaming of brighter futures instead of remaining trapped in the cycle of poverty.

Project Impact

  • Children from brick kiln families enrolled in school.
  • Safe and inclusive learning environment established.
  • Parents actively engaged in their children's education.
  • Improved school attendance and learning opportunities.
  • Stronger community trust between families and the school.
  • Promoted inclusion, dignity, and equal access to education.

Sustainable Development Goals

  • SDG 4 – Quality Education
  • SDG 1 – No Poverty
  • SDG 5 – Gender Equality
  • SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities
  • SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
  • SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

Our Vision

Education is not charity—it is a fundamental right. We believe that when schools work alongside communities, even the most marginalized children can become confident learners, future leaders, and active citizens.

Together, we are proving that no child should be left behind.
