Tuba Dumlu Güler, a passionate science teacher from Erzurum and 2023 Global Teacher Prize finalist is making headlines for publishing a powerful book, Snowdrops Resisting the Frost, dedicated to female students overcoming adversity.
Tuba, who has spent much of her 18-year career teaching in rural and disadvantaged areas, shares the inspiring life stories of girls facing challenges such as poverty, loss, and special education needs. The book’s title reflects both the harsh climate of her hometown and the quiet strength of the young women she teaches. She has pledged to donate all royalties to girls' education.
