Global Teacher Prize 2019 Top 10 Finalist Débora Garofalo has created and launched a collection of books for the Maker Universe dedicated to teachers and students.  

Book titles:

  • Little Inventors: Inventions That Change the World, Hands-On Artifacts! Elementary School - Early Years
  • Makers saving the planet: SOS for the environment Elementary School - final years
  • Young Hackers: Programming the Future of High School
  • Maker Universe in Education: Creative Strategies for Innovating in the Classroom - Theoretical Book for Teachers

Débora Garofalo has a degree in literature and pedagogy, a master's degree in applied linguistics, is a public school teacher in São Paulo and an author. She created the project “Robotics with scrap”, which supports the titles in this collection, in addition to being a Brazilian public policy and a teaching methodology. Throughout her career, she has received important national and international awards and in 2019 she was the first Brazilian woman and the first South American to reach the final of the Global Teacher Prize and be honored as one of the ten best teachers in the world.
