Global Teacher Prize Ambassador Dr Marie Ghanbari, together with leaders in education, including Andreas Schleicher, Director of Education, OECD, held a roundtable to discuss the expansion of the Sportpaten Project.
The project empowers children through sport, boosting motor, social and emotional skills through mentoring. The mentors benefit too, gaining practical learning and training, increased empathy, responsibility and diversity awareness.
The scheme, currently taking on 100 children a year through Münster University, will now be rolled out across Germany.
