Global Teacher Prize Ambassador Dr Mariëtte Wheeler was recently honoured at a special event. The Premier of her province, Western Cape in South Africa, recognised her in his State of the Province address. A Global Teacher Prize 2023 Top 10 Finalist and also named National Best Teacher, Mariëtte combines her training as a biological scientist with her passion for teaching to great effect.
