On February 26, Global Teacher Prize 2023 Winner Sister Zeph joined UNESCO and leaders in education at the 14th Policy Dialogue Forum in Johannesburg, organised by the Teacher Task Force for Education and the South African Ministry of Basic Education.

The forum addressed the issue of global teacher shortages and examined the findings of the GEM Global Report on Teachers.

Representing the voice of teachers, Sister Zeph joined a session entitled 'Valorising the teaching profession and teachers’ voice', speaking on the complexities around the issue and joining the discussion around transforming the perception of the teaching profession, empowering teacher agency in the classroom and involving teachers in decision-making processes.
