🌍🕊️ From a Small School in Pakistan to a Global Classroom of Peace
What happens when students are given the opportunity not only to learn about Peace, but to become active participants in it?
At Central Model School Khanewal, Pakistan, we transformed International Day of Peace 2026 into a student-led learning journey connecting Peace Education, SDGs, values, student leadership and international collaboration.
Our students:
🕊️ Created Peace messages and artwork
🎤 Presented their ideas in school assemblies
👧 Took leadership roles in Peace activities
📖 Connected Peace learning with values and teachings from the Holy Qur'an
🎯 Explored SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
💻 Connected digitally with international students
🌍 Shared Peace messages, postcards, cultural greetings and reflections
Through international exchanges, our students connected with peers from Azerbaijan 🇦🇿, Romania 🇷🇴 and Türkiye 🇹🇷, while our wider Peace initiative involved schools and educators from several countries.
One message from our Turkish partner students particularly touched us:
“Peace is hidden in one little smile that brightens our day.”
This became a powerful reminder that Peace can begin with something very small:
A smile.
A kind word.
Respect.
Friendship.
Understanding.
A responsible action.
Our educational model is simple:
Faith & Values

SDG Learning

Student Voice

Student Leadership

Peaceful Action

Active Citizenship
↓
Global Connection
The most meaningful outcome was seeing students move from being listeners to becoming presenters, creators, communicators and young Peace Ambassadors.
Our experience also reminds us that global education does not always require expensive resources. Sometimes, a teacher's commitment, student creativity, simple technology and an international friendship can open a classroom to the world.
🌍 Schools can build bridges between nations.
📘 We have documented this journey in our Success Story:
“From a Small School in Pakistan to a Global Classroom of Peace.”
Thank you to all our international partner schools, teachers and students who helped make this journey possible.
Different countries. Different cultures. Different languages.
One shared hope:
🕊️ PEACE, FRIENDSHIP, KINDNESS AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR COMMON FUTURE.
