More than 95 principals and leadership experts, members of our School Leadership Network's (SLN), gathered at our first meeting of 2023. SLN was established by the Varkey Foundation and Global School Leaders in the context of the Teacher Task Force hosted by UNESCO. Till now, 500 school principals across 57 countries and over 160 education leadership experts across 32 countries have joined us to unpack the role of a school leader for education change. In our third year, we aim to continue supporting School Principals from across the globe while building bridges between policy-making, academia, and educational institutions. For the first time this year, we’ll be contributing to the Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report, which is published annually by UNESCO as a vital resource for decision-makers seeking comparative research and knowledge to inform their actions toward inclusive and equitable quality education. This year's report will specifically focus on the crucial topic of school leadership.
