We are proud to spotlight an inspiring and forward-thinking publication authored by some of our Global Teacher Prize Ambassadors: Teaching in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Standing at the Precipice.
Written by internationally recognised educators Armand Doucet, Jelmer Evers, Elisa Guerra, Dr Nadia Lopez, Michael Soskil and Koen Timmers, the book brings together six Global Teacher Prize finalists who are among the world’s most influential and innovative classroom teachers. As visionary and award-winning educators, they are recognised globally for their unique and creative approaches to education, with their ideas valued across a range of sectors.
Published in 2018, the book shares the perspectives of educators working in classrooms around the world. It presents a hopeful and practical view of the future of teaching and learning, grounded in real experience and a strong commitment to equity and student success.
At a time when education systems are under increasing pressure, the authors explore key moral, ethical and pedagogical questions facing schools today. They look at how educators can respond to the Fourth Industrial Revolution by shaping change in ways that benefit all learners.
What makes this book stand out is its shared perspective. Rather than focusing on theory alone, it includes real examples and insights from teachers navigating change in their own classrooms. The result is a holistic and personalised approach to education that supports both teachers and students in uncertain times.
Teaching in the Fourth Industrial Revolution is a great read for anyone with an interest in educating our youth in these uncertain times, highlighting why teachers will always matter.
