Fourteen ministers and secretaries of Education from across Latin America gathered in Guadalajara, Jalisco, for the fifth Comunidad Araucaria Focus Meeting, a regional initiative led by Varkey Foundation that fosters collaboration and educational transformation. Over two intensive days, participants explored Mexico’s educational system, exchanged best practices, and deepened discussions on policies to strengthen character education. Supported by key partners including CAF, Fundación Coppel, Universidad UNIR, Fundación Lemann, and Dandelion, this meeting reinforces Comunidad Araucaria’s mission: connecting education leaders to build a stronger, more human-centered future for learning in Latin America.
