Bagless Day at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School: Learning Beyond the Classroom
Seth M.R. Jaipuria School believes that education goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. Keeping this vision in mind, a Bagless Day was organised to provide students with an engaging and experiential learning experience. The day encouraged students to explore their creativity, develop practical skills and learn through hands-on activities.
One of the highlights of the day was the Chapati-Making Activity. Students enthusiastically participated in preparing chapatis, learning the importance of measurement, coordination, hygiene and teamwork. The activity also helped them appreciate the effort involved in preparing food and understand the value of respecting everyday life skills.
Another exciting activity was Robotics, which introduced students to the fascinating world of technology and innovation. Students explored basic concepts of robotics, observed how machines work and participated in interactive activities that encouraged logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving. The session transformed complex technological concepts into an enjoyable learning experience.
The Bagless Day created a perfect blend of life skills, creativity, technology and collaboration. Students learned while doing, experimenting and interacting with one another. Such activities help children become more confident, independent and curious learners.
The initiative truly reflected the spirit of “Learning Beyond Books”, making education meaningful, joyful and connected to real life. At Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Bagless Day was not merely a break from routine—it was a celebration of learning through experience, exploration and innovation.
