Guadalupe is an award-winning entrepreneur, STEM promoter, science and technology enthusiast and researcher.
Entering undergraduate study at just 16 years old, Guadalupe studies Biotechnology Engineering at the Open and Distance University of Mexico (UnADM) and is on academic stay at the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition.
She is passionate about developing scientific and technological projects that positively impact society and has been selected to participate in the 73rd International Astronautical Congress in Paris with her research: "The study of the alterations produced in the functional and structural organization of brain connectivity during spaceflight”. She is also one of 60 people selected for the International Air and Space Program 2022 by AEXA Educational Program, which will take place at NASA facilities in Huntsville, Alabama, USA.
The winner of multiple awards, Guadalupe was selected for the State Youth Award 2021 and for the "Youth Awards 2030 - Global Leaders Edition" Award. Likewise, she was the winner of the Girl Power Codefest Americas 2018 International Competition, sponsored by the British Embassy in Mexico; and at the age of 14 became one of the youngest people to receive laboratory training at the UNAM Biomedical Research Institute.
Guadalupe is the founder of Parlaré, a multi-tool application for people who use Mexican Sign Language and the hearing impaired and is pursuing original research on the design of therapeutic strategies from a neuro-immunological approach for patients with COVID-19 which she will present to international public and private academic institutions.
From 2018 to 2020, Guadalupe taught Elementary, Middle and High School students; and since 2019 has given talks on the empowerment of women in the world of work, the importance of science and technology in boys and girls, gender equality, social inclusion, the rejection of discrimination, and Agenda 2030.
Guadalupe is also a member of Women in Nuclear Mexico (WiN MX) and Women in Nuclear Global (WiN Global), organizations that seek to communicate the benefits provided by nuclear energy and promote the equal participation of women in the nuclear industry. She is also a spokesperson for the STEM area of Tremendas México, and a member of It's Only Science, of the Covid 19 Commission of the National Youth Council for Science and Humanities (CONJUVECyH), of CONJUVECyH Querétaro, and of the National Youth Athenaeum – State of Mexico. Similarly, she is part of the Foundation Approaching the Universe, and the Initiative "Heroes and Heroines STEM" belonging to Movimiento STEM AC.
Her outstanding achievements extend beyond science to literature and poetry. In 2019, she participated in multiple Literary Expression and Poetry contests; has published articles in the "Humaniza" magazine of the Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico (CODHEM) as well as the WiNFO LATAM newsletter of WiN MX, and in the Blog of Mentoralia AC.
