When Thanh was a primary school student, he found learning boring. The teachers mainly delivered speeches, while the children took notes. He wondered whether there was another way to make learning more interesting.

Now Thanh develops creative approaches to deliver quality education to his students. He finds ways to inspire them to learn, equip them with knowledge, and develop their life skills such as critical thinking, information technology and group work.

His particular interest is in applying technology to teaching and he believes that high tech helps stimulate students’ creativity and enthusiasm for learning. He also uses technology to bridge the gap between the classroom and real life. Learning is extended to the outside world, and Thanh’s students are exposed to different cultures as they use games and applications such as Skype and Minecraft to connect to their peers throughout the world.

Thanh’s teaching style has had a profound effect on his students. They are welcomed at the best secondary schools. 100% of children complete the elementary program with good results, and they have won prizes including for scientific research, STEM, and the role of children with the sustainable development of society

In the evenings and weekends, Thanh teaches orphans who can’t come to school because they are working. He also offers free classes to teach life skills for students in public schools (poor school) such as sexual abuse prevention, online internet skills and career choice skills.

Thanh has authored multiple articles, and been nationally and internationally recognized for the implementation of creativity and the integration of technology into his teaching. He is the winner of Educator of the Year Asia 2017.
